My journey with Hope started a few years ago when we moved to Richmond from Atlanta and we were in search of a church for our family. My husband, my three boys, and I have found so much life at Hope and I am excited to see God at work in Richmond. Richmond has become home to us and we know that Hope Church has been a part of that process.
I grew up in Florida, Upstate New York, and Georgia as the only child of two wonderful parents. When I was a young child, my parents had a personal experience of meeting Jesus in a way they never had before. This part of their story transformed my own as we grew from solely a church attending family to a family that sought Christ in every part of our life. My own journey has been full of ups and downs, but I have been thankful for every time I have seen God at work in my story. I am constantly fighting the internal need to perform and embrace the relationship that God has given us through His son.
After a short career as a Kindergarten teacher, I have been pursuing my calling in ministry. I was Director of Family Outreach at Hope and have served in Children’s Ministry at our previous Atlanta church. For the past few years I have been helping to grow the care ministry at Hope and that has confirmed my calling to ministry. I love being a part of how God uses His church to further His message of love through the cross.
