For Fun I Enjoy-
Family time, time with good friends, gardening, walking with my husband and goldendoodle puppy, cycling, reading

I was born and raised in Scituate, Massachusetts, a quaint seaside community where everyone knows each other and the closest highway is 30 minutes away. I was blessed with a loving Christian family and dear friends. Church was an integral part of our family. This is an interesting place to be because as much as it is a blessing it also leaves you pondering at some point where your family’s faith ends and yours begins. This was a journey for me to question and ponder through life’s challenges at times. In the end as I was in high school and college, I came out of this questioning period with a strong faith in Jesus as my savior. It was now my faith, not my family’s.
I moved down to Virginia to go to college at William and Mary where I met my future husband, Doug, on move in day. He literally gave me my keys to my dorm room and welcomed me to college. He was the RA down the hall. I had no idea at the time when we started dating 5 months later that he actually needed permission to date a younger resident!
After college I was an elementary school teacher, a job which I deeply loved. Since then, I have enjoyed serving with MOPS, Playing with a Purpose, and various ministries at church.
We have made our church home at Hope since 2008. Our children, Abby and Sam, have enjoyed learning in Adventure Woods and are now beginning their years in The Zone. My husband and I have found a place that challenges us spiritually, relationships that are rich and real, and a place of life. Small groups have been an integral part of our lives both as a couple and as individuals. They have helped us grow and share life with others.
I am so excited to help others get plugged into small groups and help leaders thrive and grow. It is an honor to be part of the Hope family and work with other “Hopers”.
