For as long as I remember, God has wired me to care for others and to pull in those who feel like they are on the “outside.”  From picking up friends in high school at 6:00 in the morning for a breakfast to hear about the love of Jesus to greeting new friends at Hope with little children, I love the ministry God has called me to.

I was born in Montgomery, Alabama but was raised in the suburbs of Washington, D.C.  Some of my abilities to weather storms in life comes from being raised with brothers and by a Father who was a commander in the Navy! I have two younger brothers.  My youngest brother lives in Houston Texas and my other brother lives here in Richmond and attends Hope with his family.  My whole family was introduced to a relationship with Jesus Christ at Fourth Presbyterian Church in Bethesda Maryland.

It was at Fourth Presbyterian that I met my husband Pete.  We married in October  of 1986.  I have three children.  Jonathan is a student at Radford University.  My daughter Maggie attends Goochland High School and my youngest Christopher attends Goochland Middle.  Our family enjoys living in the beautiful rural community of Goochland.

Some of my favorite things include; gardening, reading, spending time with family, girlfriends and vacationing in a New England Coastal town.
