HOPE KIDS (INFANT – 5TH GRADE)
Nursery (Infant – 2 Years Old)
Babies and toddlers are in a constant state of wonder as they begin to experience and learn about God’s love. Our nursery is a soft, colorful environment that is consistently staffed with caring, background-checked volunteers who communicate and display God’s love to each child.
Preschool (3 Years Old – Pre-K)
In Preschool, we want to incite wonder. What if kids grew up amazed with the wonder of their heavenly Father and how much He loves them? What if they understood that God is big enough to handle whatever they will face in life? We introduce three basic truths: God made me, God loves me, and Jesus wants to be my friend forever. Kids spend part of the service in small groups hearing the Bible story from their small group leader, making art projects that reinforce the Bible story, and experiencing free-play with their friends. Kids also experience live storytelling, engaging videos, and worship songs in large group.
Elementary (Kindergarten – 5th Grade)
In elementary school, we want to provoke discovery. We tap into the way kids are naturally wired to discover, so they can begin to experience for themselves who God is and how much He loves them. What if kids were provoked to pursue a life of discovery, where their identity is determined by a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and His truths guide how they make decisions? Kids will discover three core beliefs: I can trust God no matter what, I need to make the wise choice, and I should treat others the way I want to be treated. These lessons are taught through a combination of age-appropriate small groups, live storytelling, original videos, innovative games, and high-energy worship songs.
Special Needs (Infant – 5th Grade)
We believe every individual has been created by God and can know Him. Therefore, as a part of Hope Kids, we have a special needs team that will pair kids up with a trained volunteer. “Buddies” are an extra support for kids throughout the service and help them experience both small group and large group with their peers as often as possible. If you are interested in a buddy for your child or learning more about our program, email Naomi Brubaker at firstname.lastname@example.org or fill out this form here.
WHAT WE VALUE
Partnering With Parents
God never designed parents to handle their kids all alone. When we combine the influences of the church and family, we can make a bigger impact. We want to equip and empower parents each week to create experiences at home that build off of what kids experience at Hope.
We value kid’s relationships within the small group setting as they relate to their leader and other kids in the group. Each kid is placed in an age-appropriate small group with a consistent, background checked, trained leader who knows their name and knows their story.
Creative Bible Teaching
Whether Bible stories are told from the stage by one of our storytellers, in a small group by a small group leader, or through a worship song, we want to capture the imagination of every kid and communicate God’s truth in ways kids can remember.
We have taken every step to ensure that Hope Kids is safe. Volunteers are screened, trained and complete a background check before they can serve. Each kid wears a name tag that is matched to a parent identification number. This tag is used for “pick-up”, to ensure that only the parent/guardian of a child can pick them up. We have also taken precautions in regards to allergies. We do not allow any snacks containing nuts into the Hope Kids area during Sunday services.
We were made to have fun, and we were made to have fun together. In the church and small group setting, fun is never a waste of time. Over time, fun can make relationships go deeper; and sometimes, it’s okay to have fun, just to have fun!
Hope Kids offers experiences, relationships and places where kids can find life and purpose in Jesus Christ during the 8:00am, 9:30am, 11:00am, & 5:00pm Sunday worship services at our West Creek Campus and 10:30am at our Midtown Campus.
