Because of the vital role that Group Leaders play at HOPE, we are committed to supporting you in four ways:
We believe that strong leadership is one of the most important factors in building thriving groups. That is why we focus on various aspects of leadership development at a few events throughout the year.
If you are a new, current or potential group leader, then we invite you to join us for one of our Winter Group Leader Luncheons on January 22, January 29 or February 5 at 12:30pm. Group coaches will provide resources and curriculum options and share some best practices for leading groups.
Each group leader is assigned a Group Coordinator who will provide support and on-the-job coaching. They are there to offer help when you have questions or need advice. Our team also posts e-newsletters in our leaders group on The City. They are full of stories, ideas, and helpful information. The Group Leaders’ Handbook is also a helpful tool to equip new leaders.
An essential component of spiritual leadership is nurturing your own relationship with God. To help you pursue your own spiritual formation, we offer Soul Care Retreats for leaders to spend time with God – both in community and on your own. These are half-day retreats that are offered each quarter.
We offer three types of curriculum resources for our groups. Firstly, we offer online discussion guides that correspond to the current sermon series. Secondly, we offer a Group Leader’s Study Bible with discussions questions for any passage of scripture. And thirdly, we offer online video curriculums through Rightnow Media.
