I was born in Fairfax, Virginia, but primarily grew up in Richmond. It did not take long for me to become a Nebraska football fan and begin getting involved in athletics. I played football and basketball growing up. Sports were a large part of my childhood, but they always fell behind music on my priority list.

I have loved music for as long as I can remember. In high school, I was in a band that played shows around the Richmond area. At the end of high school, I auditioned for the School of Music at James Madison University. I graduated from JMU with a bachelor’s in Music after studying voice under David Newman.

I came to faith after many struggles with doubt in college. Hope was a place where I was encouraged to seek after truth, and through that search I grew to better know the God who created me. I am grateful to work with worship arts at Hope and continue seeking after truth alongside other leaders, friends and musicians.
