  Summer Theme Sundays Summer Splash (2nd -5th graders) is setting the pace for Hope to have some fun on July Sundays. There’s a theme for each week – to dress the part: This Sunday July 5 is Red, White and Blue Sunday, next Sunday July 12 is Flip Flops Sunday. Stay tuned for the update on July 19 and 26!

  
  

  First Sunday Bag It This Sunday the 5th, please bring a bag of non-perishable groceries for our first Sunday of the month partnership with the Goochland Food Pantry. Hope’s contribution to this ministry of care and assistance has been a tremendous help. Way to go!

  
  

  Call2Fall – July 5th Prayer event: Call2Fall is a prayer initiative uniting churches across the country, inviting people to humble ourselves in prayer and repentance for our lives, for our country, for the world. Join us as we answer God’s “call to fall” this Sunday July 5 from 7:00-9:00 pm in the prayer room. For more information check out Call to Fall or contact Rose Steele.

  
  

  Men’s Golf Guys, time to sign up for our annual golf gig, Friday afternoon July 24th. Captain’s choice at Hunting Hawk Golf Club. Sign in at 1:00, Shotgun start at 2:00. Introduce some friends to Hope and gather a foursome. Dinner provided afterward. Register on Sunday morning at the welcome table. Or send an email to the Hope office.

  
  

  Summer Reading is on! Buy a copy of “The Life You’ve Always Wanted” in the concourse on Sunday. Join with others in this shared reading experience and be part of a class taught this summer by Brad and Marmi Houff. The class will be on Thursday nights starting June 18th. Register by calling the Hope office (708-5330) or by sending an email.

  
  

  Summer Splash is underway! We are pleased to offer this new summer ministry during the 11:00 worship service for kids who are rising 2nd-5th grade. These children will attend the beginning part of the worship service with their parents and then go to the multi-purpose room for an energetic time to be together and learn.

  
  

  Prayer Board Hope Prayer ministry has a prayer board in the alcove off the concourse. Visit to post prayers and to pray for others at Hope.

  
  

  Thrive is a weekly ministry for women on Thursdays from 10:00-11:30 am during the school year. Thrive has concluded for the 2008-2009 year but will resume in September. If you would like to know more, please call the church office.

  
  

  Songs We Sing, a Hope worship CD is available at the Grounded coffee bar. Give it as a gift to introduce a friend to Hope!

  
  

  Hope Student Ministry’s Jumpstart is at 10:30 – a high energy 20 minute connect time for middle and high school students. Then, middle schoolers and high schoolers are invited back from 5:00-6:30 for full student ministry.

  
  Adult Classes

  Journey Through the Bible provides a biblical foundation. Bring your bible and a cup of coffee and join the discussion at 9:15 in the Work Room.

• Prayer

  Every Sunday immediately following worship services, members of our prayer ministry are available to pray with you for any need you may have. The room for prayer is in the back of the worship auditorium.
